Our diverse team of project managers engage as early as acquisition support, then take you through all RIBA stages, securing planning and wider third party consents, before driving the procurement process to secure a contractor(s) and ensuring a successful delivery to the end user. Pillar also offer contract administration services in support of overall delivery.
Pillar delivers a bespoke development management service, delivering high performing assets through rigorous, investment led stewardship. Pillar works with Capital Partners, multi sector Asset Managers and Operators across the full development lifecycle to ensure every project is optimised, de risked, and firmly aligned with long term value. Pillars robust governance and accountable senior leadership is engaged from concept to completion, we protect performance and strengthen partnership outcomes, building long term partnerships throughout the process.
Pillar relies on decades of first hand delivery experience to provide institutional capital and global operators financial and brand compliance monitoring throughout the development process from acquisition through to handover and exit in line with the development parameters.
Alongside compliance based monitoring, Pillar continue to be actively engaged in ‘Special Situations’, where the scope and route forward are not always obvious and the costs, risks and programme are moving rapidly, often in the wrong direction. Pillar utilises decades of experience and a global network of specialists to identify the immediate pain points, develop a mitigation strategy or strategies and work alongside the client(s), to implement the resolution(s).
Project Highlights

Montcalm Mayfair
Full strip out of the Grade II listed building, ‘back to shell’. Construction of 151 guestrooms (including 30 suites) across 6 floors, including the extension of an existing lightwell infill, which created an additional 12 guestrooms. A new signature restaurant, lounge and bar complete with a spa, gym and wellness area.
Hyde London City
Full refurbishment of all 111 guestrooms and public areas in a historic listed building in the City of London, including a lightwell infill to create an additional 21 guestrooms. The hotel is currently operated by Ennismore, under the brand ‘Hyde’.
1 Hotel Mayfair
Fit out of 181 guestrooms, including 31 suites and a one bedroom Penthouse in the heart of Mayfair developed by Crosstree Real Estate. The hotel is operated by 1Hotels, part of the Starwood Capital Group and features a spa, gym, bar and restaurant by 2 Michelin Star chef, Tom Sellers.

Voysey House, Dorrington
Full refurbishment of a Grade II* listed building originally designed as a wallpaper factory for Sanderson design group plc, in 1902. The space was refurbished to provide c.15,000 sqft of characterful and modern office accommodation. The floor plates were reinstated to an open layout, as well as improved facilities including cycle storage and showers.
65 Crutched Friars
782 unit new-build Purpose Built Student Accommodation in the City of London, including a dedicated cultural space for the Migration Museum.
